Sfx File System

An SFX file is an audio file saved in the SoundFX format. It is similar to a SoundTracker (.TFMX) file, but is designed for sound effects. SFX files may include patterns. File with an.SFX extension contains a compressed archive of one or many files, that unpacks itself if double-clicked in Windows system; it does not require any external decompression program. Files can be decompressed utilising a range of different sorts of algorithms, such as ZIP, RAR or 7Z. The WAV file has become a standard PC audio file format for everything from system and game sounds to CD quality audio. Also known as pulse code modulation (PCM) or waveform audio. The WAV file is an uncompressed audio file that stores information about the files number of tracks, sample rate, bit depth and whether it's mono or stereo.
